Michael Flynn is a retired Lieutenant General who served in the United States Army. Lieutenant General Flynn served as the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs (APNSA), otherwise known as the National Security Advisor, under President Donald Trump from January 2017 - February 2017. Before serving as President Trump's National Security Advisor, Flynn served as the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) from July 2012 - August 2014. Lieutenant General Flynn first met Captain Robert Cornicelli while serving as the Director of the DIA. Since working together at the DIA, Flynn has watched Cornicelli's professional and personal growth with excitement.
